Old Took: Tracey Atin portrays Bilbo's wise and doting grandmother, and the narrator of our story. Bilbo receives an unexpected visitor.... ...and then some more. Thorin's dwarves make merry with Bilbo's lunch. Blast, nuffin' but mutton to eat! Perhaps that's why William the Troll (centre) is so scrawny-looking....
The lord Elrond Half-elven waits with two of his people to welcome the dwarven party to the valley of Rivendell. Elrond discovers runes on the map of Lonely Mountain, written on a midsummer's eve in a cresent moon, a long while ago. This is one family reunion you're better off avoiding. The Great Goblin, his minions, and his pet warg. Will it taste delicious, my precious?... It will....
Do not want to meet the spider that made that.... Thorin demonstrates his arachnophobia. Thranduil, Elven King of Mirkwood, flanked by his beautiful-but-deadly guards. (Legolas obviously gets his hair from his mother's side.) Bilbo confronts the dreaded dragon Smaug in his dank lair. (Smaug puppet created by Jeff Marontate, painted by Daniel Nolin.) Bard, Laketown's Master Archer, takes aim at a Goblin enemy during the Battle of Five Armies at Lonely Mountain.
Goblins threaten Thorin Oakenshield and the men of Laketown during the Battle of Five Armies. A mortally wounded Bombur declares victory for the Dwarves amid the bodies of fallen foes. Your cast of Korda Productions' The Hobbit!
