The beach cats groove to the sounds of the '60s while Kanaka (left) demonstrates ... something. Berdine's bedroom is totally divoon. Set design drawing by Daniel Nolin.

Hot dog stand employee Nicky watches Yo Yo and Provoloney get their morning exercise. Hi folks! Meet Chicklet (Florence) Forrest, the cute, lovable psychotic of Malibu Beach. He can handle the waves, but can he handle her? Bright sunlight and adoring fans do not bode well for the Great Kanaka's hangover. This is a man hunt, capiche? Marvel Ann leads Chicklet and Berdine in a maneuver of the finest technique.
Chicklet's surfer ambitions fail to impress Kanaka and Star Cat. I guess she'll have to resort to Plan B.... The loving family: Mrs. Forrest welcomes her daughter Chicklet home after a long day at the beach. If you look closely, you can see the scallopini in her wiglet. Ever wondered what a peter belt was? Mrs. Forrest will gladly explain. Berdine, her diary, and her picture of Chicklet.... What else could a girl want?
Chicklet assumes her new mantle as Empress of the Seven Seas. Provoloney, Star Cat, Kanaka and Yo Yo are definitely sold on the new member of the club. Beautiful and glamourous actress Bettina Barnes invades the Malibu scene, much to the delight, amazement and arousal of the surfer boys. The Great Kanaka becomes the great slave boy as Chicklet's alter ego (Ann Bowman, Dominatrix Empress of the Planet Earth) gets the, um, upper hand. The love that dare not speak its name (mostly because Yo Yo has trouble with words longer than two syllables). Yo Yo and Provoloney discover an exciting alternative to surfing.
Berdine fulfills her role as secretary/companion/masseuse as Bettina ponders her future, which, according to that telegram in her hand, definitely involves the filming of Sex Kittens Go Bossa Nova in September. Provoloney says he's a screenwriter. Bettina says she loves his big ... idea. Yo Yo says he loved it first. Marvel Ann and Star Cat discuss their future together. Actually, Marvel Ann discusses while Star Cat contemplates something else entirely. Chicklet finds out from Star Cat what boys and girls do when they're alone. And quickly wishes she hadn't.
Mrs. Forrest finds a distressing scene on the floor of Kanaka's beach shack. Pay no attention to the man behind the corset. Perhaps she has taken this "gag" too far. After all, naughtiness must be pun-ished. Trust us. It's a terrific bundt cake. With a very large knife. Berdine's attempt to rescue Chicklet runs into a serious roadblock. Bettina and the boys show off their moves at the annual luau-slash-barbecue.
Chicklet relives the traumatic event that fragmented her personality over 8 years ago. Chicklet's not the only one with a hidden past. Mrs. Forrest, née Ann Bowman, does her patriotic part to entertain the boys going overseas. He's not Star Cat any more, but Chicklet and Herbert Mullin seem to be on their way to a happy, mentally healthy life together. Awwwww.... Not the complete Malibu Barbie® beach set. The cast of Korda Productions' Psycho Beach Party!
